CIMAR The Women's Hospital, Thrissur, proudly announces the successful delivery of a baby to Mrs. Simi K.K. — recognised as India's shortest pregnant woman. Standing at just 95 cm and weighing 34 kg pre-pregnancy, her journey is a remarkable story of courage, resilience, and medical excellence.
A Journey of Courage & Medical Excellence
This extraordinary achievement underscores CIMAR's expertise in managing high-risk pregnancies. Mrs. Simi's unique physical condition posed significant challenges throughout her pregnancy — yet with the unwavering dedication of our expert obstetric team, led by Dr. K.K. Gopinathan, both mother and child were kept safe and well at every stage of the journey.
India's shortest pregnant woman faced extraordinary physical constraints that made every aspect of her care deeply complex. The obstetric team had to navigate challenges of foetal monitoring, maternal positioning, anaesthetic planning, and surgical access that are simply not encountered in standard clinical practice. Each decision required both precision and compassion.
At CIMAR, we remain committed to blending compassion with advanced medical expertise — because sometimes, even miracles need a helping hand.

The success of this delivery reflects years of accumulated expertise in high-risk obstetrics, the depth of CIMAR's multidisciplinary team, and the infrastructure of a NABH-accredited facility built specifically to care for women at every stage of their reproductive journey.
